Undefined behavior via invalid segmented-curve downcast
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Type confusion in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to trigger undefined behavior through an ICC profile that a user processes. ToXmlCurve() downcasts a CIccSegmentedCurve object and accesses it as an incompatible CIccSegmentedCurveXml child instead of constructing a valid child object. Exploitation requires a user to process attacker-supplied profile data; the public reproduction demonstrates undefined behavior, not control of execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
