Undefined behavior via out-of-range enum load
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Type confusion in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows attackers to trigger undefined behavior when a crafted ICC color profile is converted to XML. CIccTagXmlTagData::ToXml() loads an out-of-range icDataBlockType value and compares the complete value with a flag instead of testing its binary bit. The demonstrated path requires user-triggered processing of an attacker-supplied profile; no stronger consequence than undefined behavior is publicly demonstrated.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
