Application crash via zero-size curve initialization
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Undefined behavior in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to crash profile-processing applications via crafted ICC profiles. The CIccTagCurve constructor allocates or copies zero-length curve arrays without guarding size zero and fails to initialize the curve pointer, producing a NaN-to-unsigned conversion at runtime. Exploitation requires user interaction or an application workflow that processes attacker-controlled profile data; published evidence demonstrates a crash, not code execution or data disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
