Service interruption via unchecked zero-length curve data
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Undefined behavior in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to interrupt applications that process crafted ICC profiles. CIccTagLut16::Read() reads a curve count from an untrusted LUT16 tag and binds a reference through the curve-data accessor even when that count leaves no element at index zero. No privileges are required, but a user must cause a consuming application to process the malformed profile; the observed result is a sanitizer-detected null-pointer reference and profile rejection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
