Service interrupt via faulty spectral-state copy
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Undefined behavior in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to cause a service interrupt through a crafted ICC profile. The CIccTagSpectralViewingConditions copy constructor incorrectly copies spectral-viewing state, propagating NaN values into an integer conversion in IccProfLib/IccUtil.cpp. Exploitation requires a user or application to process attacker-supplied profile data; the published reproduction reaches the flaw through iccRoundTrip.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
