Undefined behavior via unchecked numeric casts
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
Integer conversion errors in iccDEV before 2.3.1.1 allow attackers to trigger undefined behavior when a user processes crafted profile XML. CIccXmlArrayType::ParseText converts text with atof() and casts the resulting double directly to the destination numeric type without checking representable bounds or NaN. Reachability requires IccFromXML or another library consumer to parse attacker-controlled profile XML; published sanitizer evidence confirms invalid conversions, while concrete security outcomes remain undisclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
