CVE-2026-21672

Local privilege escalation

Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026

Sensitive-information exposure in Veeam Backup & Replication before 12.3.2.4465 and 13.0.1.2067 allows local users to elevate privileges. The CNA maps the flaw to CWE-538, but Veeam has not disclosed the affected file or directory, the exposed data, or the operation that makes it externally accessible. Exploitation requires existing low-level local access to a Windows-based backup server and grants higher privileges on that server.
