Unauthenticated code execution via CSRF-only AJAX authorization
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Authentication bypass in TemPlaza Astroid Framework 2.0.0 through 3.3.10 allows remote attackers to execute code via AJAX requests. The Admin.php handler treats the public administrator login page's CSRF token as sufficient authorization and performs file uploads and extension installs without checking for an authenticated administrator session. Network access to the Joomla administrator and Astroid AJAX endpoints is sufficient, granting control of the site through attacker-supplied executable files or extensions.
