CVE-2026-21494

Memory disclosure and crash via mismatched LUT channels

Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026

Heap buffer overflow in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows attackers to read memory or crash an application via a malformed ICC profile. CIccTagLut8::Validate derives curve iteration counts from profile header color-space metadata instead of the channel counts parsed from the LUT, so malformed count mismatches drive validation past allocated curve arrays. Exploitation requires an application to process the crafted profile; the published assessment reports no integrity impact.
