Information disclosure and crash via unchecked tag bounds
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in International Color Consortium iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows local users to crash applications via crafted ICC profiles. CIccProfile::LoadTag trusts each tag-table offset and size without checking that their sum remains within the profile file before seeking and reading. Exploitation requires an application user to process an attacker-supplied profile; the bounded effects are memory disclosure and application crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
