Arbitrary file write via client filename traversal
Published Jan 2, 2026 · Updated Jan 2, 2026
Path traversal in @adonisjs/bodyparser 10.1.1 and earlier and 11.0.0-next.0 through 11.0.0-next.5 allows remote attackers to write files. MultipartFile.move defaults options.name to the unsanitized client filename, joins it to the chosen location, and permits traversal outside that directory with overwrite enabled. Exploitation requires a reachable multipart upload endpoint that calls move without a safe name; code execution depends on writable files later being loaded or executed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
