Authenticated article modification via replayed save requests
Published Jan 2, 2026 · Updated Jan 2, 2026
Authorization bypass in emlog 2.5.23 allows remote authenticated users to modify published articles via replayed save requests. The article update path accepts a previously captured save request without enforcing the administrator's post-publication edit restriction. A registered user must own the article and retain a valid request; the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized modification of that article.
