Authenticated code execution via unchecked route list
Published Feb 8, 2026 · Updated Feb 8, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda TX9 22.03.02.10_multi allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted route request. The sub_42D03C handler for /goform/SetStaticRouteCfg passes the user-controlled list value to sscanf without a length limit, overflowing stack buffer v16. Low-privileged access to the router's network management interface is required; successful exploitation can crash the service or run code on the device.
