Code execution via malicious-file out-of-bounds write
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Substance 3D Sampler 5.1.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a malicious file. Adobe identifies the flaw as an out-of-bounds write but does not disclose the parser, file format, or unchecked memory operation that processes the crafted input. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, and resulting code runs with that user’s privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
