Authenticated command execution via shell-interpolated username
Published Feb 8, 2026 · Updated Feb 8, 2026
Command injection in BurtTheCoder mcp-maigret 1.0.0 through 1.0.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands. The search_username handler concatenates the untrusted username into a Docker command string and passes it to child_process.exec, allowing shell metacharacters to alter execution. Low-privileged MCP access is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the server process's host privileges and can read, alter, or interrupt host resources.
