Account brute-forcing via unrestricted login retries
Published Feb 7, 2026 · Updated Feb 7, 2026
Improper login attempt restriction in SwiftBuy allows remote attackers to brute-force account passwords through login.php. At commit 0f5011372e8d1d7edfd642d57d721c9fadc54ec7, login.php verifies every submitted password without tracking failures, delaying responses, locking accounts, or limiting request frequency. The network-reachable form requires no prior authentication, so repeated guesses continue indefinitely against targeted user or administrator accounts.
