Heap-based buffer overflow in Samsung Mobile Devices on Android 14 through 17 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted JPEG data. The libimagecodec.quram.so JPEG decoder writes beyond a heap buffer while mishandling untrusted image input; Samsung has not disclosed the faulty routine or boundary calculation. Network delivery requires no authentication or user interaction, and successful exploitation executes arbitrary code on the device.
