Privileged command execution via incorrect default permissions

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Incorrect default permissions in Samsung Electronics Bixby before 4.0.86.0 allow local users to execute commands with Bixby privilege. Samsung has not identified the affected permission, component, or command-dispatch path; the bulletin states only that the patch adds access control. Exploitation requires an additional local condition that Samsung has not described, and the reported consequence is confined to command execution in Bixby's privileged context.
