CVE-2026-21065

Local memory corruption via improper codec validation

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in libcodec2secqcelpdec.so on Samsung Mobile Devices with Android 14 through 16 allows local users to corrupt memory. The codec library applies insufficient validation before an out-of-bounds write; Samsung has not disclosed the parsing path, input field, or missing bounds condition. Low-privileged local access is required without user interaction, and the published impact does not establish code execution or privilege escalation.
