Physical app-lock bypass via exported Android component

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Improper component export in Samsung AppLock before SMR Aug-2026 Release 1 allows physical attackers to bypass locked applications. Samsung has not identified the exported Android component or disclosed the access-control error that permits invocation outside the intended AppLock flow. Physical possession of an affected device is required; exploitation defeats the application access control without causing a service interruption.
