Improper access control in MediaTek Audio HAL on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jun-2026 Release 1 lets local users trigger privileged functions. Samsung has not disclosed which Audio HAL entry point omits the required caller authorization or which privileged functions become reachable. Exploitation requires local execution on an affected Android 14, 15, or 16 device; no user interaction or prior privileges are required.
