Local logging activation via missing component permission
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Improper component export in ImsSettings on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jun-2026 Release 1 allows local users to trigger logging. An ImsSettings Android component is exposed without the permission needed to restrict caller access, allowing another local application to invoke its logging entry point. A low-privilege local application can reach it without user interaction; Samsung assesses a limited confidentiality effect, while NVD assesses a limited integrity effect.
