CVE-2026-21018Public exploit

Privileged code execution via unchecked codec lengths

Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in SveService on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR May-2026 Release 1 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The sveJNISVE_SetCodecInfo native routine uses attacker-controlled codec lengths in stack allocation, memset, and memcpy without bounds checks. Samsung rates exploitation as local and high-privilege; the public proof of concept demonstrates a service crash, not code execution.
