Local privilege escalation via exported application components
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Improper component export in Samsung Dialer on Android 14 and 15 allows local users to launch activities with Dialer privileges. Samsung identifies the locus only as exported Android application components, which accept local activity launches without proper access control. A low-privileged local app context is required, and exploitation runs attacker-selected activities with the permissions held by Samsung Dialer.
