CVE-2026-20914

Local service interruption via null-pointer dereference

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Null pointer dereference in Intel QAT Windows drivers before 2.6.0 allows local users to interrupt hardware-accelerated operations. A Ring 3 user-application path dereferences a null pointer while processing an input whose API and structure Intel has not disclosed. Any authenticated unprivileged local user can trigger the service interruption without user interaction; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
