Station impersonation via reusable predictable session identifiers
Published Feb 26, 2026 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in all versions of Ev2Go ev2go.io allows remote attackers to impersonate stations over WebSocket. The backend treats predictable charging-station identifiers as unique session keys but accepts concurrent endpoints with the same key, letting the newest connection replace the legitimate station. No privileges or user interaction are required; the replacement endpoint receives commands intended for the station, and repeated valid sessions can interrupt backend service.
