Authenticated gateway crash via unchecked GroupName copy
Published Feb 7, 2026 · Updated Feb 7, 2026
Buffer overflow in Shanghai Aitai Technology HiPER 810G through 1.7.7-171114 allows remote authenticated users to crash or reboot the gateway. The /goform/formFireWall handler passes the HTTP GroupName value to strcpy, which copies it into a fixed-size buffer without checking its length. Access to the management interface and valid credentials are required; an oversized value corrupts memory and interrupts gateway services.
