CVE-2026-20780

Local service interruption via uncontrolled resource consumption

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software before 24.10 allows local users to interrupt service. The flaw is in a Ring 2 device driver, but Intel has not disclosed the resource involved or the operation that consumes it without control. No privileges or user interaction are required; successful exploitation degrades the vulnerable system's availability and has a low subsequent availability impact.
