Adjacent unauthenticated service interruption via faulty condition check
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Improper condition checking in Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software before 24.10 allows remote attackers to cause a service interrupt over Wi-Fi. The flaw resides in Ring 2 device drivers, but Intel has not disclosed which condition is checked incorrectly or which crafted wireless input reaches it. An unauthenticated attacker within adjacent wireless range needs no user interaction; the exact driver or system failure mode remains undisclosed.
