CVE-2026-20772

Privilege escalation via uncontrolled installer search path

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Uncontrolled search path in Intel Connectivity Performance Suite installers before 50.25.1121.193 allows local users to escalate privileges. The installers use an uncontrolled search-path element, but Intel has not identified the searched component or attacker-controlled location. Exploitation requires low-privileged authenticated local access, a high-complexity setup, present attack requirements, and active user interaction; success compromises the vulnerable system's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
