Local denial of service via improper buffer restrictions
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Improper buffer restrictions in Intel NPU Driver before 1.32.0 on Linux and 32.0.100.4723 on Windows allow local users to cause denial of service. Ring 3 user applications fail to restrict operations within a memory buffer, but Intel has not identified the affected code path or triggering input. Exploitation requires an authenticated low-privilege local account, needs no user interaction or special internal knowledge, and can disrupt the local host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
