Local denial of service
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Improper input validation in Intel QAT software drivers for Windows before 1.13 allows local users to interrupt QAT driver operation. Intel has not identified the affected driver component, the untrusted input, or the invalid operation that causes the denial of service. Exploitation requires a local authenticated low-privilege user, needs no user interaction or special attack conditions, and can also cause low-impact confidentiality and integrity loss; Intel has not specified whether availability loss is a crash, hang, or other interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
