Information disclosure via incomplete UEFI cleanup
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Information disclosure in Intel UEFI Reference BIOS allows local users with high privileges to expose data through incomplete cleanup. Intel identifies the mechanism only as incomplete cleanup within UEFI and has not disclosed the affected resource or firmware path. Exploitation requires an additional attack condition and exposes subsequent-system data without direct integrity or availability impact.
