Missing authorization in MediaTek chipset Telephony allows local users to escalate privileges without user interaction. MediaTek identifies a missing permission check in the Telephony subcomponent but has not disclosed the affected operation or authorization path. The attack needs neither prior privilege nor user interaction and can compromise confidentiality and integrity without affecting availability.
