Use-after-free in MediaTek chipset MAE on MT2718, MT6899, MT6991, MT8678, and MT8793 allows local users to crash the system. MediaTek identifies MAE as the locus but has not disclosed which object is freed prematurely or which later operation dereferences it. Exploitation requires System privilege and no user interaction; the reported consequence is a system crash, with no confidentiality or integrity impact.
