Double-free memory corruption in MediaTek imgsys on MT6897 and MT6989 chipsets allows local users with System privilege to interrupt local service. Improper locking permits imgsys to free the same memory address twice during concurrent access, corrupting its memory state. Exploitation requires existing System privilege, needs no user interaction, and affects availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
