Sensitive data exfiltration via inline CSS injection
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
CSS injection in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to exfiltrate data through a crafted dashboard. The Trusted Domains check incompletely validates inline style attribute values, allowing CSS URLs to initiate requests to an untrusted server. A low-privileged account outside the admin and power roles must create the dashboard, and disclosure occurs when a higher-privileged user views it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
