API token disclosure via improper app access control
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
Improper access control in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to retrieve an Observability API token. The Discover Splunk Observability Cloud app exposes token retrieval to low-privileged roles, but Splunk has not published the affected endpoint or authorization check. Exploitation requires an authenticated account without the admin or power role; it discloses a reusable cloud credential and does not directly interrupt splunkd.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
