CVE-2026-20137Network attack vector

Sensitive data exposure via Data Model path traversal

Published Feb 18, 2026 · Updated Feb 18, 2026

Path traversal in the Splunk API in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to expose sensitive data. A low-privileged user can place an injected SPL query in a Data Model object and use path traversal to bypass safeguards for risky commands. The query runs with a high-privileged user's authority only after phishing causes that user to initiate a browser request and open the object.
