Published Jan 21, 2026 · Updated Jan 21, 2026
Privilege escalation in Cisco Intersight Virtual Appliance 1.1.4-0 allows local users with read-only administrator access to gain root. The maintenance shell permits those administrators to modify system-account configuration files whose permissions are too broad. Read-only administrator access to the maintenance shell is required; root control exposes sensitive data and permits workload or configuration changes.
