Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Alaev & Co Alaev SEO Tools 1.0.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter popup UI content via crafted page SEO fields. In src/popup.html, the popup requests title, description, keywords, and headings from the active tab and the addDiv helper writes those page-controlled strings to innerHTML; headings are likewise rendered with F.innerHTML = D.textContent ?? "". Exploitation requires a user to open the extension popup while visiting a malicious page, and the public proof describes trusted-UI markup injection rather than confirmed extension-context script execution.
