Authentication bypass via path-based session check

Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Improper authentication in Session Validation in EFM ipTIME A3004T 14.19.0 allows remote attackers to reset admin credentials via web requests. The httpcon_check_session_url function decides whether authentication is required by checking only whether the request path starts with /sess-bin/; requests such as /cgi/timepro.cgi return 0, so the upstream flow skips httpcon_auth. Any attacker able to reach the web interface can abuse the bypassed path with the password-reset workflow to change administrative credentials and take over device management.
