Memory corruption via MDL7 bone-array overwrite

Buffer overflow in Assimp 17c12da allows remote attackers to crash applications via crafted 3DGS MDL7 model files. In code/AssetLib/MDL/MDLLoader.cpp, GenerateOutputMeshes_3DGS_MDL7 allocates pcMesh->mBones and then writes past that array when iCurrent exceeds the allocated bound. Exploitation requires an application to import an attacker-supplied MDL7 file; Red Hat rates the bug as low-integrity and low-availability impact and notes possible sensitive-information disclosure.
