DNS cache poisoning via out-of-zone NSEC acceptance

DNSSEC validation bypass in BIND 9 allows remote attackers to poison resolver caches with an inapplicable NSEC record. named's checkwildcard() accepts an out-of-zone NSEC as proof that no wildcard exists, causing valid wildcard mappings to be cached as nonexistent. Exploitation requires control at the same or an upstream zone level; affected releases are 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.27, 9.21.0 through 9.21.25, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.27-S1.
