Unauthenticated code execution via path-controlled cache write
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Path traversal in Kaltura HTML5 Player V2 2.103 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through mwEmbedLoader.php. The endpoint fetches attacker-selected ServiceUrl content, passes it to PHP unserialize(), and writes object fields to a cache path built from unsanitized uiconf_id. No authentication or session token is required; code execution requires the default file-based cache and runs as the web-server user.
