CVE-2026-19909

Arbitrary file write via AIP symlink following

Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026

Link following in PAX Technology Q80 2.6.33.6690R allows network-adjacent attackers to write arbitrary files via crafted AIP files. The AIP installer follows an attacker-created symbolic link and writes file content to the link target instead of confining extraction to its intended destination. Authentication is not required, but root code execution requires chaining the arbitrary write with another vulnerability.
