Remote management takeover via hard-coded easycwmp credentials
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in easycwmp in LB-LINK X-PRO 1.0.22-20231206 allow remote attackers to control TR-069 management. The /etc/config/easycwmp file embeds shared local-interface, ACS, and STUN usernames and passwords that easycwmp uses for authentication. TR-069 is disabled by default; exploitation requires prior administrative access to enable it or a man-in-the-middle position, after which an attacker can read or alter configuration and reboot the router.
