CVE-2026-19900Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root access via hard-coded SSH password

Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026

Hard-coded credentials in LB-LINK X-PRO 1.0.22-20231206 allow remote attackers to obtain a root shell through SSH. The firmware stores the reusable root password as an MD5-crypt hash in /etc/shadow and enables Dropbear root password authentication on port 22. Network reachability to SSH is required; LAN access suffices by default, while internet access depends on WAN exposure, and successful login grants full control of router data, configuration, and services.
