CVE-2026-19898Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account access via unthrottled credential guessing

Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026

Improper authentication-attempt restriction in VictoriaMetrics VMAuth 1.146.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain account access. requestHandler passes each supplied token to getUserInfoByAuthTokens and immediately rejects misses without throttling, lockout, or an attempt limit. Network access to a protected VMAuth route is required, and a successful guess grants only the access assigned to the compromised account.
