Code execution via OGWU parser out-of-bounds write
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in OriginLab Origin Viewer 9.9.5 allows remote attackers to execute code by inducing OGWU file parsing. The OGWU parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing beyond the end of an allocated data structure. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and code runs with the current process's privileges.
